Here is my new obnoxious smurf sheet turned tote bag.  I used smurf sheets throughout, vinyl for the outside and pen/chapstick holders, a shiny, papery vinyl-like material for the lining and strap, and cardboard for the interior stability (which causes it to bow out kinda funny, but I like it).

I used a tutorial for messenger bags found here on craftster and omitted the top closure.  I added the fur/felt trim stuffed with fiber filling.  Here are some pics:

Here are a couple more:

I thought I was going to donate this to a fundraiser.  But I will have to use it for a while first.  So much fun!

Super cool bag! I LOVE that you caught your kitty in the pictures checking out the bag! What is the stuff that you used to line the bag? It looks like lame in the picture, but you say it's papery/vinyl? Like cellophane? It looks really neat. :-)

It is hard to describe.  It feels papery (but I can tell it is some sort of synthetic, not paper).  It is shiny on one side.  Oh, it is sort of like a table cloth with a smooth finish on one side, and textured on the other side.  I picked up this fabric from someone, so I do not know what it is called.
Here is a skirt I made out of the pinkish/purpleish color:

Thanks for all the compliments.  And yes, I thought of sallysparks' dress the whole time I made the purse.  They would go well together!

That's awesome! The bag looks kind of shiny in the picture, what did you use to cover the fabric?

Thanks for sharing!  Cheesy
