Sooo...being in an absolutely LOVELY corporate job, I am forced to wear ugly and boring dress shirts every day. I spiffed this one up a little with some embroidery.  Let me know what you think, or just commiserate with me about your corporate job!

I think your shirt came out fab! I especially like the rose on the back. I hear ya on the corporate end. I still reufuse to give in. I wear my vintage dresses to work all of the time.

three cheers for deviance at work!

most of my "creativity" at work is located in my shoes! i have covered my headset for the phone in sequins too (it gets a lot of attention; everyone loves it)

Thanks for the compliments! I don't plan on working the job much longer, but for now i slink around in whatever i can get away with. my main act of defiance is FLIP FLOPS! they are well hidden under my lovely "dress slacks"!

I, too, love it!!!!!

My corporate job (a law firm) isn't as bad as it could be, but we can't wear jeans on "business casual" Friday.  I wear as much vintage as possible, though, and have some really cool pinstripe twill late 60s stovepipe pants that I wear.

Shoe-wise, I do mostly vintage pumps and John Fluevogs (comfy, funky but pricey).

I love it, anything embroidered and western with roses makes me happy!!! I had a red and black satin 70's shirt with flocked rosebuds on the cuffs collar and yoke, I miss that shirt. Damn my boobs.

Well done!  I too have spruced up several of my shirts for corporate jobs.  We have to reflect our personalities some how, right?   Wink
