I designed this for college for the fashion show its the best thing iv ever made!
I made a under dress pattern from scratch then draped 2 meters of fabric over the top then handstitched it into the dress
the underdress is fitted and boned.

Heres the dress in calico

FRONT:

SIDE:

SIDE 2:  (brown paper is where brooch will go)

BACK:

And heres a blurred photo of me backstage of the fashion show, the dress in navy fabric with gold lining
i know this photo doesnt benefit the dress

What a beautiful dress! The draping is perfect. I've never attempted draping before... Is it hard?

THANK U people!

the draping was the best bit, i took 3yards and draped it round its really easy, easier than pattern making but alot of handstitching was involved  Smiley
