Yes, yay for freezer paper!

For my boyfriends upcoming birthday, i so far have a pillow made out of what a few days ago was my favorite tshirt to sleep in, a keychain that says "it has come to my attention that i'm the only person in the universe who knows how to drive" (bought this, didnt make it), a shirt i'm stenciling, a duct tape rose (i have to post it, it has screws and wire and it's black) and i bought these scratch off stickers, but cant figure out what to do with them...

Those scratch off things are genius! So many possibilities! I could see a card with little messages under the scratch-offs... or little favors under the scratch-offs like "1 Free Massage" or "1 Free Stromboli" (my guy's fave).... or, to be really cheesy, "50 Reasons I Love You"...

I need to get my hands on some of those. Thanks   Cheesy

Hey all!
I would like to be the 1 millionth to say that this thread is probably the most usefull thing second only to hands!
My boyfriend`s 18th birthday is on July 4th and we have been together for over 2 years now, and he is absolutely used to me bombarding him with crafts (my speciality is silk screen) so I have no fear.  James is interested in politics and going to university for political sciences, but hes also a metalhead who listens to SlipKnot.
I wanted peoples imput of the list of stuff Im am getting slash making for him.

The List!

1)Tshirt that he designed a long time ago and he forgot about
2) One of these pillowcases mentioned in this thread
3) Asterix and Obelix 2 disc dvd (he`s french)
4) Trick Daddy CD (oh ya, and hes a sucker for Trick daddy)
5) Pillow to go in the pillowcase cuz all his are flat.

*I plan to sleep on the pillow for one night because you know how crazy guys go over smell*

LET ME KNOW!

Great list!  Sleeping on the pillow is always a great idea, i do that Smiley

(Of course, this time the pillow i'm making is made of my pj shirt and so "smells like 100 years of Haylie sleeping" according to my mom.)

The tshirt is great too, since he designed it, youll know he'll like it!

(By the way, i just found out that i really screwed up the tshirt i was making for my boyfriend...i was going to stencil a bass (the orchestra instrument) on it with the words "the coolest instrument in the world" (because thats what he calls it) BUT I, knowing nothing at all about stringed instruments, evidently found and spent hours stenciling an instrument that i thought was a bass and turns out to be no real instrument at all.  So now i have a ruined shirt and no stencil with which to try again.  So if anyone happens to be able to find a stencil of a bass, that'd be much appreciated!)

oh my gosh, it must be frustrating to have spent so much time on the shirt.  i'm impressed that you are willing to try again.  maybe you can make a bag or something out of the old shirt and disguise it in some way...
anyways, i'm always up to a websearching challenge....so here is what i found.  all i did was go to google images and type in "bass orchestra" and "string bass", there's a bunch there.

I've made many a gift for my boyfriend, some of which include a little chocolate box decorated like a romantic place setting for 2, a miniature guitar case painted with a portrait of myself with a little guitar pick made from drum cymbol inside, a few cakes decorated by moi, a hand-knit scarf, a wallet, and quite a few cards. Here's a picture of one of the cards I made him. It says ani ohevet otcha in the bottom corner, meaning "I love you" in Hebrew (he's Israeli). It's not perfect but I still like it.

It's done solely in ink and watercolors. <3

This thread is giving me too many ideas. I've been meaning to make my boyfriend something... he's already gotten me a dreamcatcher and a bracelet. The next time I see him is on Friday so I better get started.

Get a white pillowcase, and at the top in fabric markers, write: I [heart] [arrow pointing down]. Only do this if you love your boyfriend, please.
