a few christmas' ago my mom got me big time
she brought out this big box that a shirt or something would usually go in. so i'm like 'great, more clothes that wont fit' when i unwrapped it and opened the box, there was another box in it, and another box in that one. in the 3rd and last box was a bunch of tissue paper. taped to the bottom was a 100 dollar gift card to my favorite store (or you can do it with money)

it's a thing in my family that i can always guess what the present is by the box, so that one has stuck in my mind. also, those best buy gift cards that come in a cd case...grrrr, those get me too

You could take the money and roll it in the center of a ball a yarn.

My friend did this for her Daughter and she put liitle junky small items that would fall out every so often as she unrolled it.

hi,

you could make a money pad... it looks like a checkbook but instead of checks has cash in it.  basically you cut a piece of chipboard to the dimensions of a ben franklin, stack your $100's (ok, your dollar bills) on it, clamp it, apply padding cement on the edge, and wait for it to dry.  i made one for my husband, and he thought it was hilarious.

there is a tutorial on this site:

ok get an empty can and put the money in it, then fill it with foam peanuts. super glue the lid on, cove it with duct tape. and then wrap it like a present. put a note on it sayin whats inside then "how bad do you want it" my aunt did this one year with a fruit cake. unfortunatly i didnt want it that bad. but it was funny.

here's instructions on how to do a dollar bill gift box:
http://familycrafts.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?zi=1/XJ&sdn=familycrafts&zu=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sd5.k12.mt.us%2Fpeterson%2Fgiftbox.htm

then you could put something cheesy from a 50-cent vending machine inside.
