hey that case is great... i love it! i have an iPod mini, and i wanted to make my older sister a case for her birthday, but she has a bigger iPod. either i need to trick her into letting me borrow it, or i need the diminsions. the latter is more likely. if anyone knows these measurments or knows where i can get them, please tell me ASAP! her birthday is in 2 months!!!!!! thnx!

I made one today! I made it out of cute black material with white polka dots, and black embroidery floss! It reminds me of Karl Lagerfeld/Chanel, only more homemade looking hehe...I used black ribbon and a white button to fasten it. Chic chic! Thanks for the tutorial, it was fun!

I can't wait to try this. I just got an ipod mini and don't have any cases for it yet.

I'm (attempting) to make one for a friend with a full sized iPod- without her knowing! Does anyone have a full sized, 40 gig (I think?) that they could trace or know of a link to find a template?

She's getting it for her birthday in late January... so she doesn't actually have it, so I can't even make the "I'm making a case for a friend" shebang.

OK, I know Craftsters hate to pay for patterns but...  If you catch the next time patterns go on sale at Joann's or the like, you might want to pick up McCall's M5012.  It has a pattern for both regular and mini ipod cases.  It took me about an hour.

It's very similar to the great case in this tutorial, but is handy if you don't actualy have an i-pod.
