It would help if you could tell us thick or thin. Weaving it could be neat...if it's a thicker ribbon, say, 2" or so wide, in different colors, I'd do a four-strand braid, get it as flat as I could, and then sew it in a band around a black cushion, so there would be black, colorful ribbon, and black. I think that'd look sort of cool.  I suppose it depends on the ribbons, though.
