I know a place on the south coast (of NSW), if you want the website.

It's a bit of a trek from Cranbourne, but the Yarn Barn in Coburg sells roving.  If you're ever in the city, it's only about 20-25 minutes on the 19 or 55 tram (you could also catch an Upfield train to Moreland or Coburg, but it's a bit more of a walk than catching a tram).

Unfortunately, I don't know of any places in the eastern suburbs.

Sorry for taking so long, I was away a couple of extra days. They're called Braeside Alpacas. Their merino tops are so beautifully coloured and they sell loads of other things like wooden buttons. They will even sell you an alpaca, if you're so inclined.

I was going to suggest Yarn Barn in Coburg as well -- the service can be a little intimidating, but the stuff they have and their prices are awesome.

Wondoflex is on Malvern Road, Malvern (www.wondoflex.com.a u).

I don't remember seeing rovings there, but they have a really good range of yarn, and the staff were helpful, so it's definitely worth a look if you also knit or crochet.

That said, I've only been there once about two years ago, so it may have changed a little since my visit.

For those that have ordered from Braeside Alpacas before, how much did postage cost?

I tried emailing them last week but no reply from them yet.
