I love LOVE these cookies.  Has anyone ever tried them with Splenda?  Just wondering 'cause I'm on a diet...bleah.   Tongue

MMMMM.....No Bake Cookies are my favorite!  I have the worst luck with them though!  Either I boil to long, or I don't boil long enough.  Then they don't set right.  They are too soft.  But usually if I stick them in the fridge for a couple hours they end up ok.

You have to remove them from the heat before adding the peanut butter. Otherwise the oil in the peanut butter separates and they don't set up hard like they should. I learned the hard way.

Actually I did try them with Splenda. I used half sugar and half Splenda. It was a disaster. I REALLY don't recommend it. It doesn't set up at all, and you waste a lot of good cocoa!

I'm from the south & I've never heard them called "Preacher" cookies either. No bake cookies is what we have always called them.

I actually use 2 cups quick oats & 1 cup of regular oatmeal. This seems to keep them from getting to soft & mushy. Smiley
