Hi everyone! This is my first time posting on craftster. Here is a soap I recently made with melt and pour, it's a bloody steak! The packaging is clean styrofoam meat packaging from the grocery store. Smiley I hope you guys like it.

I've really been admiring the crafts on this site and think that a lot of work being shown here is awesome. This community is very supportive of craft addicts! I think I'll be taking on some new projects ... it's so nice that some of you have included instructions.

Thanks and take care.

I made a second one last night, it looks a little different ... And is cranberry scented.

That is soooo disgusting I just HAD to click "this rocks!"  Nice job!  If I saw that in a store, I would buy it so fast!  There are some hard-core meat-eaters in my family who would find it quite amusing.  :-)

i dont eat steak, but i have to tell you -nice work. a friend of mine had some bacon and steak air fresheners which were pretty vile- so i bet you could find scents if you wanted to.

Hi. Thanks for the comments.

Uh ... well I created this steak because I have a meat-themed bathroom and I wanted to put something by the sink ... So logically, a steak of course. Only hygenic, like a piece of soap.

This is the first soap I have made in over a year, so I was experimenting with the new mold (and with layering, which I have never quite done like this). I left fragrance out of the equation. It's made with coconut soap and clear glycerine soap base. I will add fragrance next time, I have a cranberry scent that I bought recently. Any suggestions?

I am not sure if the soap would bleed from the colorant I put into it which was somewhat dark ... It seemed fine when I was washing the forks in the sink, the colors did not bleed. No pun intended. But I don't know if I would use for bathing yet though -- it's more of a display piece at the moment. I'd be willing to make more.

Maybe someone can tell me more about colorants?

Thanks guys.
