Like a Bizarre Bazaar or a Renegade?

I read this article from getcrafty:

http://www.getcrafty.com/blogs.php?user=how%20to%20by%20ceebee

and I wished we had something similar.

Do we?

None that I know of. I was talking to a guy in the glass lampworking class that I took over the summer that Phoenix could really use a show or monthly market with hip crafts (not granny krafts) like they have in other cities.

I have been meaning to check out the downtown Phoenix farmers' market after reading on LusciousGracious's blog about it: http://www.foodconnect.org/News3.htm. That there is allegedly some crafty goodness going on there, including hand spun yarns, along with the local produce. It's only on Saturday mornings from 8am - noon, which seems like a rather narrow span of time to me. According to the site, it's located at 721 N. Central - SE corner of Central Ave. and McKinley St. (2 blocks south of Roosevelt) and parking is free.

Thanks Chris,

That sounds like fun.  I'll check this out and issue a full report.

Take care!

Fourwhitewalls is having a trunk show in the 11th.  You just have to email Sheila in advance for space, but it's free to particpate and usually loads of fun.  I did the last a couple weeks ago.  I only sold two things, but I traded with many of the people there and made a few friends.
