Ya. The original hat takes FOREVER since it's all SC with bobbles.
I crocheted tighter and it worked out ok. Thanks for writing out the pattern, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to make it. I used your second hat pattern instead of the one you suggested, figured it'd go together faster.  I'm also planning on making a bunch of those hats (without legs of course) for homeless people since it's a cool hat and it's easy! thank you sooo much for the pattern!

just started my hat i couldn't find the exact yarn you used (cause i was so excited about making it i didn't shop around) so the weights smaller (im a newbie crocheter) so should i use a smaller hook or change the pattern or anything? anyone know
