Edible Yarn Centerpiece!

Thought you guys might enjoy this! 

I hosted a swap party for my knitting group last week and my friend, Corrine, brought this:



She took foam balls and wrapped sour straws and licorice around them and held them in place with pins. Then she added pixie sticks for knitting needles.

We'd like to preserve it... any ideas?

no clue as to preserving it, but I have to tell you that that is one of the craftiest things I have seen in a long time. Love it!

Mod Podge? Or spray-on sealant. Do a good couple coats.

That is soo cool! It wouldn't last in my house though, my brother and I would eat it.

hilarious!  i think a spray-on lacquer would work best because you might get bubbles or rub off the sugar if you painted something on it.  i'd just take lots of pictures and eat it!!
