After seeing a lot of people in the bead forums (delphi and about.com) post pictures of their caterpiller bracelets last year, I was inspired to try one myself.  I used the instructions in an old issue of Bead and Button (Oct 02) I had.... pawed through my beads to find the goodies and worked at this off and on for quite a while.  It's finally done!  Maybe these pics will inspire someone else to try out the caterpiller.... if you like to fondle beads, you'll love this - it feels so great.

[Semi-tutorial and link to real instructions are on page 3 of the comments/replies!]

Oooooh!  Any chance you might post a tute???  Pretty please???

And hoping for an early death you swam so far you lost your breath, and struggling in the ebb and flow I took your hand, but you let go...
And now the ocean fills your lungs, and now you've got what you had come for, resting peaceful as you sink to drown under a sea of strangers.

What a gorgeous bracelet and beautiful staging for your photograph.  You are obviously a very artistic person  Smiley

The bracelet colours appear different in both photos -- is it more of a collection of pink and mauve or brown tones?

Thanks guys!
The first picture is more accurate on the colours - it's pinks, purples, and mauves.

I'll see what I can do about a tutorial... I might be able to find one to link to somewhere, I think I've seen them online.  I'll get back to you - it's a very easy bracelet to make, just time consuming.

Shocked  That's gorgeous!  I love how it falls - I bet it's just delicious to wear.  I love the look and weight of heavily beaded jewelry, but I haven't been brave enough to do any myself, just yet...  that may have to change.   Wink
*runs off to paw through her beads*

and a tutorial would be really, really cool.
