I just finished my first lace item. I was hemming and hawing about doing Branching Out, since I've seen some nice ones here,  but I decided I like this pattern better because it's less.... symmetrical and I like the definition in the leaves. I used one ball of Patons Classic Wool (yay for stashbusting) and took me three days to knit. It worked up really fast and the pattern was awesome and easy to follow. Smiley Highly recommended! I'll be making more of these!

Here's the pattern:

I love it. I have a friend that fall all over me for a scarf like that. Not to mention its in her fav scarf. They should call it EMILY instead. Smiley  I need to learn how to knit. I can crochet but thats it.

Love that, but how do you follow a chart?  Left to right or right to left?

Most knitters drink tea or coffee whilst knitting..... I drink bourbon.
