So you love to knit in black? Be a black sheep! Not for weak eyes, sometimes you just need a bit of a splash of non colour to get your work hopping!

This will be an ongoing knitalong with no end date. All levels are welcome, since you get to pick the project! The only requirement is that it be black.

Check out the blog here:

Yep, I'm a dork!

O.K...I,ve been wanting to use these 2 skeins of really nice, soft, black yarn I bought on sale on a whim, hoping to make a scarf or something since Im fairly new @ knitting. I tried to crochet with it first (I can crochet like crazy) but found it kinda' stringy-n-tangle-like to crochet with so I stashed it away. Im sure I could knit with this crazy yarn, and I have 1 whole un-touched skein & a  skein I have to frog first to make the 2nd skein whole again. Probably enough to make a *yawn* scarf. But thats OK 'cuz I like scarves & I dont have a black one yet. The yarn is T.L.C. something-or-other ( I lost the labels) but its kinda' chenille like. Maybe I,ll add an interesting trim or something to impress you. But I have a few W.I.P's right now, so Im glad theres no time limit on this. I will stick with this knit-along...I need to use this beautiful black yarn!
Great blog by the way!

all i have is acrilyc. blah, not so soft. but easy to work with. but i was thinking about a poncho [the thought in my head looks so cool, the first poncho i've ever liked...until like yesterday when i saw a beautiful cabled one..ah! to die for! anywaysssssss] and i want a black branching out and a black and white 60's mod sweater. AHH! decisions, decisions. oooooh, so i found a pattern for a sideways knit turtleneck with cabled edges. i think i'll start that one first.
haha, but you can never be too sure with me.  Roll Eyes

Oh I totally will, but I've hit a slight snag. 6 rows away from finishing it I ran out of yarn. I have to order the yarn online as no stores nearby sell it in black or will order it for me.  Cry
