I finally hung up these shelves after about six months of them just setting against my wall.  I was inspired by shelves I saw in a magazine and figured out a way to make them.  So enjoy....

Instructions

Sorry if the directions are confusing; I had to draw them by hand and then take a picture of them.

Warning: I wouldn't put anything too heavy on these shelves, I haven't tested thier weight limits yet, but storing your encyclopedias on them would not be wise.

So the instructions are for making one shelf?  Am I understanding this right?  A board is screwed to the wall, and has supports coming out of it, then a case goes over top and you put items on top of the case/supports?

Yes, the instructions are for making one shelf.  Yes, you put things on top of the case and the support.

Those do look awesome!  I might have to try that.  Let us know how well they hold up.  Especially if you find out how much weight they can hold. Cheesy

They look like they'd be great for pictures at least.

I have about 5-6 of these in my room.
I love them
But mine are really wide
So I can put my computer on them
Good job!
I love the color!

Thanks!  I was actually proposed to at a bar on the basis of my handwriting skills only.  Strange that my parents and coworkers find it unreadable...
