I recently had breast reduction surgery and am stuck with a plethora of humungo DDD bras!  They are all really pretty, and still in good shape.  I thought about giving them away but i think a craft project would be best since i think they are representative of a part of my life!  Let me know if you have any neat ideas!

You could stiffen them up with a product like Stiffy or other fabric stiffener stuff (I think Aileen's, the Tacky Glue company makes some too) so that they're fairly solid, then turn them in to interesting art!  Paint, cover in silk flowers, paper mache, decoupage... brassiere art!  Or maybe cut off a cup, stiffen it, decorate it, secure it to a base, and you've got yourself an interesting vase/candy dish/planter/conversation piece?

I had actually been thinking that sewing the 2 cups of the bra together and then maybe leaving an opening at the top with some snaps or something, you could make a purse with the bra-straps being your purse straps.

Good question...I've only *heard* about Stiffy brand.  But I'm pretty sure that I saw the Aileen's fabric stiffener in the glue section at Michael's.  If I'm there soon I'll look around and see!

I was wondering if anyone knew how this stiffy stuff would affect delicate fabrics?  i just thought about it, and alot of bra fabric is satin, or very intricate lace....just curious!
