My grandpa is a journalism teacher at OU (guido stempel, know of him?)
well anyway, so since we live close by, we go visit them pretty frequently. (like 1-2 times a month)

It looks like they still have the SNB at Donkey. (http://www.donkeycoffee.com/_itools/icalendar/index.cfm)

Also,
Beads & Things
8 North Shafer Street
Athens
740-592-6453

is a great place to go for beading/jewelry.

Hi. I'm an OU alum who lives in Chicago now, but I was cruising around over here since I have nothing better to do. Anywhooo, Guido Stempel was one of my professors as I had a journalism major.  I really enjoyed his classes.  That alone would have made me post, but Purple Poof, I noticed that you joined Craftster on my birthday, so that was too coincidental to let slide.   Smiley

I know this is an old thread, but I hope you see it, Purple Poof!

You know, I've never actually been to Donkey Coffe (shame on me!!!), but I heartily second the tip for [ur=http://athensbeadsandthings.com/l]Beads n Things[/url]. I moved away from Athens about two years ago, and I still go to their store whenever I'm in Ohio... I haven't found good stuff for cheaper to date, and the staff is fun.  Plus, they always have cool jewelry boxes and things like that.  I guess I sound like a walking commercial!  Cheesy  Artifacts Gallery has great pendants and some fun handmade things usually, as well.

Not in the city of Athens, but in Athens county. I'm currently staying with my husband and his family in Glouster. Fun times, considering there's no one even remotely nearby who shares my crafting love....
