cacarae

I didn't see a gallery for this thread yet, so I thought I'd make one.

My partner, Flareon, dropped out of the swap, and failed to notify me.
So I made her this.

That's terrible Sad
Did you send it already? Maybe she'll send it back.
It's beautiful by the way and a felted bag is a lot of work, cause you have to make it even bigger than the finished size. Great job

Um, actually...

I HAD to drop out of the swap.  Daniella who was organizer mistakenly assigned Cacarae as my partner when she didn't meet the requirements for the swap.  I let Daniella know of the problem on the day partners were posted, and she wrote back acknowledging that I had withdrawn, but she never informed Cacarae of this fact until a couple of days ago.  Perhaps I should have messaged Cacarae myself, but I believed the organizer (who had allowed her to join in spite of rules) should be the messenger.  Perhaps that was wrong of me.  Had I known Cacarae was unaware of any problems and was making something, of course I would have reciprocated.  I feel awful this has happend to her, but I feel this needed to be said in my defense.

Edit: and I never received the bag, or got word of it prior to founding out via gallery.  So how can I return the bag or the kindness?

Oops!
That's sort of awful all around. I would definitely have assumed the organizer would tell the person too.
Seems like the stuff wasn't sent though, so it's not that bad.
And I'm really sorry Flareon if it seemed I was accusing you of flaking, you clearly were not to blame in this at all, Caracae seemed upset and I was just responding to that since it seemed like she put a lot of work into the swap.
That's really too bad this happened.

Edited to add: if you really like the bag Flareon, maybe you guys can still swap unofficially?? You lose the element of suprise though, so it wouldn't be nearly as much fun and I can see why you might not want to do it.

Thank you for understanding my side.  I have been in numerous swaps by now, and it would be quite silly to be flaking now, wouldn't it?   Wink  The issue has been dealt somewhat sufficiently at least on Cacarae's and my end, I'm still waiting to hear from Daniella.  Anyone can make mistakes; it's just a sad affair when things go awry to the point that it has.

Edit: To those who pmed me, thank you for your support.  I really appreciate it.   Smiley

i dont see the problem, she made her swap and from what i've heard didnt fit the criterea as she was ONE post away from 15 posts.

it would have been polite to inform her yourself that you were dropping out.

cacarae - i think they are both lovely.

Nice job on the bag and charm!!

It would have been polite of u to let her know as well. I resolved the situation with cacarae, that being she could still participate in the swap and still get feedback but to not send the bag out.

Mistakes can happen and as far as i am aware everything has been resolved nothing has gone 'awry' and I feel that is the end of this suject. This board is for posting peoples pictures not whos on whos side!
