I wasn't sure about this hat in the book, but it looks really pretty in those different colors.  Good job!!

OH, I love those colors.  I made one with cotton tots , bernat.  I loved it, but darling daughter last of four decided to draw a nice red circle in indelible ink on it!!  Ready to knit another.  I love yours!!
Did you have a little space with your Icord and hat.  I did and did not know what I did wrong.

Cheers gals!

Linda, I just took another look and yes, I sort of have what I would define as two loose opposite stitches where the i-cord starts... but to be honest I hadn't even realised until you mentioned it, so I'm sure I won't hear many complaints from the baby Wink

The pattern is rather cute, and I can see making many more, even just to get rid of odds and ends.

I'm sorry to hear your little one drew on hers... Post a pic of the new one when you get round to knitting it, won't you.

xx

Okay, I finished my second set after my daughter decided to embelish the first hat.  I have not figured out to post here, always over exceeding the amount?!  Hopefully, it will be up on my blog.  My computer is acting very funky these days Sad  Please take a look http://chaosknits.blogspot.com/2005/08/umbilical-cordwashcloths.html

Hopefully this works Smiley

I made this hat for my niece on the day my sister found out she was having a girl.  Because her two older brothers have HUGE heads, I made it a little bigger in the hope that she could wear it for more than a week after birth.  Turns out her head was a normal size, and at 8 months, it's still got room to go.  Here we are:

She's usually much more smilely than she looks in the picture.  But trust me, she is super cute, hat or not.  And that's not a biased opinion at all.  I may be her aunt, but I'm in law school, so I've been taught to be objective.  Grin

I've made two now -- a tiny one while I was pregnant and another this fall to fit my now 9 month old daughter. I love this pattern! It knits up nice and quick, is easily adjusted and looks cute as a button. Only problem now is that my little Ruby has decided she hates natural fibres and rips it off her head the second she gets in the stroller. I've had to pick it out of several puddles already this season.

Love your colorway.  It's really pretty.

I knit up 2 of these recently for my friend & my cousin who just had babies.  I love this hat!
