i'm doing my first mini craft fair type thing in two weeks. i was trying to think of a few of not-so-time-consuming crafts to make. is it appropriate to sell things that you have stenciled with a stencil that you did not make (found it online or something along those lines)?

I imagine the selling if fine - most items are put together from "manufactured" components.  Unless the fair is super strict about things being fully handmade or your original design (which it likely isn't).  And as long as you aren't selling them as "original designs" or anything like that.

My concern would be whether it's ok to use said found stencil in such a way.  Are there copyright issues etc?  Was this stencil created for personal home use or is it ok to use on items you're selling?  I honestly don't know the answer to that . . .  Huh  Or are you doing this on such a small scale that unless it's an obvious copyright (Disney etc.) it really doesn't matter.

Good luck!  Smiley
