I need a lunch box badly!!! I think we should just stick to the good old plastic boxes.  They have a drink bottle and there is room for a banana and a sandwich and maybe a bag of chips. About 10in by 9 in by 6 in.  so maybe we could all stick to that size and a price limit.  I don't know how much they cost though...any help? Maybe the cost of the lunch box + $5.... if this is ok then I can start sign ups the first week of sept and mail by the end of sept. lemmie know!!
Happy Crafting!!

I know I saw plain metal ones at Michael's. That's kinda what I thought of when I saw this. Plus the new plastic ones are going to be more expensive.

I have gone to 3 walmarts and found 0! I ask and everything.  I think we will have to do something else.

How much are the plain metal ones at michael's? That might be what to do. Thanks Sweetttart3!

I think they were $6, but they were a little on the small side, so the thermos would be out.

Crap I don't know then.  Right now I am using a canvas bag I got from Hobby Lobby for 2.99 it is big enough to hold my water bottle and tons of snacks. I plan on tie-dyeing it soon.  So maybe we could do a lunch bag swap, or go ahead with the metal one from michaels. Where I am we have a 40% off coupon in the paper every sunday we could use those for the metal box. $6 is a bit much especially if they are small. It is up for disscussion.

Just a thought, but why not make it so that there is no particular guide lines on what kind of lunch box to make. We could just get our partner's preferences and go from there. That way if I get someone who does want a plastic one, I can begin to scour the earth to look for one then, but maybe someone else would prefer a metal one. Plus that leaves you open to other options, like your canvas sack, or even a pencil case ( I used that in HS). I think it leaves more room for creativity. Again, just a thought since it's not my swap, and I'm in no matter what is decided.

I like what Sweetttart3 said.  Maybe leaving it up to your partner would be the best idea.

Question.... any kinds of guide lines for what is going in the lunch boxes?  I would totally do it =)
