dood, i second that! i just spent a week and a half making a baby sweater in dk weight cotton on #6 needles. the end product was damn nifty, but it is a long time to spend on such a small sweater. it's nice to have something work up quickly every once in a while. Cheesy

Cascade Sierra is worsted - normally 20st/4in

You get a bigger gauge using 10.5 needles obviosly. It looks nice - and is more flowy, so the baby can move easily in it.

Thanks for posting the pattern, D!  A frightening number of my girlfriends are very pregnant right now, and this pattern will come in handy!

I can NOT get the pattern stitch to look like the photograph. I've tried it different ways (i thought that i was maybe inserting the needle in the wrong place etc), i've spent a lot of time on knittinghelp.com... but I just can't get it. At first the rows that were supposed to be bumps were just looking like garter stitch, then i fiddled and it looked bumpy...but still didn't look like the photo.

Also - when I do the increase rows - by the 3rd or 4th increase the number of stitches is ALWAYS more than the pattern calls for....

Am I just dumb..?

That's really cute! I doubt it'll be a quick knit for me though!

Okay - I just kept going regardless of the stich count. The bumps look correct now, but I'm 90% sure that the number of stiches listed at the end of some of the rows are wrong....but then there is that 10% that likely means that I'm just wrong.

I'm going to keep going and hope that it fits her!

Thank you for posting the pattern - it's super priddy.
