thanks for the tute!  I think I might try to modify this a litte to make a bear - my friend really wants her baby to have a bear (though I think the gnomes are the greatest).  thanks for sharing!

looks really cute  !
Never thought of doing it like this. I make them out of 1 large rectangle that I sew into a square and have 5 bits of wool 4 for the armsand legs and 1 larger one for the head stuff it with the wool sew it up and put a hat on. comes out looking very similar Smiley

yes!  I love it!  My mom actually made a bunch of these only smaller and put wings on them so they were angel ornaments.

chattyKathi..
I think of these as more of a doll that the baby can suck on it's hands and feet and then you can throw it in the wash to clean.
or just snuggle with. Smiley  But I don't see why you couldn't use them at bath time!  Whatever works! Smiley

beatnik chik..
I bet those little angels are really sweet! post pics if you can, I'd like to see them.

Take care everyone!

I love the gnome....I've been making teddy bears and martians and monkeys and whatnots by leaving the hat off, and working with the corners formed by the head, to make ears.  SO SWEET and cuddly
