i'm from the palm springs area and my mom and i are trying to find a good fabric store around here. she wanted to try the riverside area because she figured there might be a bigger chain-type store out there. know any? we've tried joann's already (because it's really the only one out here that we could find) but it didn't have what we were looking for. we're sewing my prom dress and prom is may 19, so we need to find one quick!

There's a Hancock Fabrics store in Redlands, CA.  Maybe you can find more of a selection there.  Smiley

I'm moving to Temecula in a month and it's nice to know there are people with my interests around. I am SUPER interested in a knitting circle if anyone else is! I'll drive to Riverside for it Smiley

There might be an IE crafting/knitting SnB session at Back to the Grind coffee shop in Riverside.  Tuesdays at 7pm.  Let me know if you're interested.  Smiley

Yesterday, I was at two different DollarTree stores, one in Riverside off Madison, and one in Upland off Mountain.  I don't know if this is seasonal or they always have this, but they had $1 yarn!  They had Patons Silverlash, Patons Glitterati, Patons Carmen, Lion Brand Boucle, Lion Brand Fancy Fur, and much more.  I don't remember them having yarn before, so it's probably seasonal.  The yarn seems to differ from store to store as well.  I'm going to visit other DollarTree stores and see what I can find!  Let me know if you guys find any goodies!
