i received my package from EmilyFlew today and it totally rocks!  but she's on vacation for most of august so it'll be a whole month before i can tell her how awesome everything is.  here's what i got:

a cell pin cushion (i had fun pointing out all of the organelles for my boyfriend)
a set of 3 anatomy themed ephemera collages (which are doing a fine job of sprucing up my sort of blah kitchen)
a totally awesome appliqued ribcage/innards purse

the postpeople must have been a little rough with the box, because one of the pieces of glass in the frames was broken.  but that's okay, it'll be easy to replace, and 2 out of 3 ain't bad!

thanks emily!

I got my package from Taloola yesterday.  It had some awesome stuff.  I got a bunch of glass magnets and pins with animal related pictures behind them, A purse with a canine skull image ironed on the front, 2 t-shirts (one with a dog ironed on the front and one with a chick ironed on), A small green bag to match the purse, and some awesome decorated safety goggles.  Everything was well made, and she sent much more than I ever expected.  Thanks so much for the great stuff!

Here are some pictures:
This is all the stuff I got:

And, my cat loves everything too... She kept rolling on the stuff when I was trying to take the pictures and trying to put her head inside the bag:

i am glad that you like your stuff!  i had alot of fun craftin' for you!  i didnt really wanna give up the purse!  teehee!  i am glad that most of the beads stayed on the "craftin' safety goggles"!  i had to do it when i saw those at the dollar store...too funny...but then again i am a really big nerd!

i hope the shirts fit you!  i made one for myself too when i was makin' yours...mine has a heart diagram on it!  it'll come in handy when i have a test on the heart parts!  jk!

enjoy your stuff!!!

Yep, the shirts fit.  Actually my friend (another vet school nerd) wore the pair of shirts out to dinner last night and we got a lot of complements on them.  The waitress actually asked where we got them.  Smiley

Are the goggles supposed to be the "gag gift" were mentioned before?  Just cerious...  I'm going to wear them to class and see what people say.

I received my swap package from needlesandpins today and oh my, it's glorious!

Mitosis tote bag

Inside pocket ("science is crazy cool")

Nitrogenous base (one pyrimidine, one purine) glass marble hair clips

DNA & phosphate glass marble earrings (I can also use 'em as pins on the mitosis tote when I'm not wearing them as earrings)

DNA handmade/handbound planner book

Spine of book (amino acids! woo-hoo!)

Lovely poem titled "The Family is All There Is" on the inside front cover (even more interesting because needlesandpins' handwriting looks very similar to that of one of my best friend's handwriting)

First tab of planner - "Calendar"
(4 tabs total which correspond to the 4 nitrogenous bases - cytosine, thymine, guanine & adenosine, Calendar, To Do Lists, Going To Do Someday, & Assignments + Notes

I absolutely love everything! I've been happily using my mitosis tote bag and taking it everywhere and showing it off to my friends.

Thank you so much needlesandpins! It looks like a ton of time & effort went into making everything (like each date on the calendar pages of the planner was hand-numbered) and I appreciate it so much.
