the yarn is oasis soy silk. i got it from this site :http://www.mypollywogs.com/pollyspecial.html and i dyed it myself. the color was actually an accident. but i was really happy with the end result. as far as knitting with it-  it was not the easiest on my hands but i think that i may have done too much work on it while dying it making it a little rougher. but the feel and drape of it is amazing. worth the discomfort.

i used a little less than 2 skeins and i made the medium size but with a slightly smaller gauge approx 4sts per inch i think. but i will check and make sure if anyone is interested.

so i wore this to work yesterday and by 3 o clock is was super stretched out and falling off of me. does anyone know anything about reshaping things? especially soy silk things?




jazzybelle- the necklace is from my grandmother's closet that i helped her clean out. she has no idea where it came from and said i was welcome to have it.  i was so happy.

guessica- the color really is that bright in person. it is wonderful. the shame though is that all other yarns look a little drab in comparison and i'm having trouble settling down on a yarn for my next project... er frustration.

My aunt and I tried to dye yarn that color yesterday. Our test skein came out perfect, but in larger batches, it's REALLY hard to get the vibrant color. So mine is somewhat toned-down. :-( But you know, I think I'm going to make the exact same thing. :-P
