Thrift Store Pic Revamp III

Glad you liked it LivinEasy! For those who are slightly offended, or simply puzzled the reason behind the Jesus in the shower concept was because LivinEasy mentioned she had wanted to put the final piece in the bathroom as a nightlight, and as almost every Last Supper picture I've ever seen in someone's home always seems to be in the dining room... anyway, it made sense to me at the time.

But now for the good stuff I got from LivinEasy!

Here is the before:


and now my parrot has left the building... and become a super cool surreal shadow box!


In addition to freeing the parrot from its restraints, she sewed on this AMAZING paillard trim, and added collage and 3-d elements.

Here is a detail of one side - a lovely chair on a crotched flower/rug/knoll, with a lamp and a mini bird cage with a parrot in it! The trees are background pieces from the original.


on the other side is a beautiful lady reclining on still more cutouts and 3-d elements.

Jesus in the shower made perfect sense to me!  and the parrot revamp turned out very nicely, great job.

this is my before picture I just picked up today and will be sending out to wildflowerz tomorrow:

Oh my god!!!! I had that picture in my room when I was little. It's called 'Over the Garden Wall'. I loved it so much. The silly movers broke the glass when we moved. I think it's still in the attic. I can't wait to see what you do with it!!!

I got my wonderful revamp yesterday from Wildflowerz.  I love, love it!  How did you get the glitter work so clean?

No it didn't take too long to do once I came up with the idea. I was more worried abot what people would think about its symbolizism...but so far no one seems to have been offended

okay, because i suck, i just now got my package sent off to megantron this evening.   i'm sorry!!!  please forgive me!!    anyway, i did get my awesome pic back last week and got pictures up!! yay!!  i love it so much, it's going to go on the wall next to my bookcase.
