This is a great site.   Grin

I'm from Brissy, and looking for some craft shops other than Lincraft and Spotlight.

I make handbags, would love to find some places that sell cool fabric.

I'm in bris too, and make handbags. I love vintage fabrics and all the gorgeous patterns you don't see used on material anymore. So I have found either ops shops or ebay.com.au the best place to find smaller bits (1 -2 mtrs) of cool fabric. I then use bigger areas of new fabric for handles and stuff.

Hope that helps!

Hi Noddy,

So far I have been selling them to friends, and others by word of mouth. Same with some wrist cuffs I make. I have them on my Web Site (www.studiochocolat.com). I plan to go the valley markets on a sunday and try that, but so far my sunday's have been flat out with work. I do freelance Graphic Design, and just when I was very quiet, and had time to make the bags, I got busy before I could sell them!

How about you?  Undecided

I've been giving them to friends for pressies, but thought I should finally do some selling, also thinking about the valley markets,  i know there's a few good bag stalls on saturdays.... but haven't checked out the sunday markets since last year when they began and it looked pretty slow, also thinking of doing the gold coast markets, and maybe some shop around the valley.

Love your bags  Smiley

Hey I am not from Brisvegas at all! I was just sticky beaking in this thread and I clicked on your link Chocolat, what a great website...then your freckle photo caught my eye and I am so sure that I was standing at your market stall a couple of weekends ago - on mothers day actually - eyeing off your cute bags and cards! Was it you?!

Your website is fab by the way!

Hi Hanabi,

Thanks, that's very sweet of you about my site, Studio Chocolat. I've still got work to do on it, hee hee, that's the nature of a website I guess.Yes, that was me on mothers day. My first day at the markets!  It was pretty slow and I got a bit discouraged, but I've had some interest from a gallery in Hawthorn, Vic, in my bags last week. I think a retail outlet would be the  best way to sell them, it's a cold, long day at the markets in winter!
