Thanks for the tip on the distinctive fabrics website! Smiley I ordered my 10 Smiley

and if it wasn't an Ozone Action Day, I would SO be out looking for fun fur to start my monster! :/

cool ozone action day? whats that? sounds fun and environmental! Cheesy

Ozone Action day is when the state/area deems it dangerous outside to old people and kids. They ask you to drive less, not mow lawn, fill gas tank, and a whole host of other random things.

Basically it means it's hot here, with a mass of cold air above...and the "nasties" have nowhere to escape, so they pollute the air down here.  We've had 5 so far this summer and tomorrow is another.

and I don't even live in California LOL

wow..i guess its a little far from being fun!

Thank you so much for the tutorial and the pictures, foureyedgirl!

Also to the person who posted the free sample thing!! They ran out of cookie monster fur, unfortunately.  Sad I'm attempting to oder swatches, though I don't know if it's as free overseas.

later

I can't believe it. I got all excited about FREE stuff (and not just free stuff, FREE FUR. I spent 15 in total inc. the expensive postage, on red long-haired furry fabric online to make the monster slippers.) and they don't ship overseas!! THIS IS WHAT COMES OF BEING IN ENGLAND!!!!

Well, I have an indirectly related aunt and penpal (Super Geek!) but I don't like to ask. It's not that important.

Okay so imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?

Made mine today. took NINE FREAKING HOURS.

Of course, being online talking to friends didn't help.

the last picture here does nothing but show you the inside colors... and that I also put in plastic pockets. Whee! Smiley

Thanks again for such a great great little bag.

Yes that's felt. Smiley I still have a few minor things i want to do, like top stitching and inserting a cardboard bottom, but otherwise it's done, dudes.

I think it looks that way because of the fur I used. Smiley made it look puffy.

By the way, folks, I spotted some GREAT two tone at Hobby Lobby after I already bought mine at JoAnn's.
