big slouchy BAG!! (made from XL tshirt) (slightly img heavy)

I've been lurking here for the longest.  I finally got my own sewing machine... I searched the streets of NYC yesterday and found this huge Che Guevara tshirt for $1.99, and knew I wanted a big bag out of it.  Something with lots of pockets, and lots of room.

I love bags out of tshirt b/c they are sooooo soft!!!  The lining is made from an XL beige tshirt I picked up at the same thrift shop for a buck.  The zipper was also a buck.  Not bad, a $3.99 bag! 


-it's the perfect size for holding the crap I carry around with me during the summer!

-the bird's eye view... it was my first zipper!  thanks, tinafish, i used part of your tutorial for the zipper!

-inside... i tried to add pockets made especially for things i always carry, my phone, ipod, etc...

-more inside... lots of pockets! 

-the back view... i added a pocket b/c i find a lot of times i like to have my phone or ipod in easy reach while i'm running around NYC...

-one last inside view! 

I hope you enjoyed, this is my first post, and I hope there will be many more.  I must say that I LOVE craftster... I get so much inspiration from you all.

I love red purses!!!!! Never thought about making a purse out of a t-shirt. Did you use interfacing to give the purse some body?
