Hey there!

Here is my version....  These were hi-tops I got on sale at Hot Topic (yay employee discount! $4 chucks!) and stopped wearing them so I figured they needed a make-over.   Sorry for the crummy pictures but all I have is a camera phone!

Enjoy!

i've long admired these, and finally attempted my own. they came out well, but true beauty takes pain (even in crafting)...i used off brand converse. the laceless ones with elastic and strong stitching b/w the tongue and shoe (cause the tongues not SUPPOSED to move)..but i needed it to as i was cutting it apart...well i ripped through the stitches with great force, right through the thread and into the top of my index finger. it appears the seam ripper went in fairly deep as it made a nice little hole, quite visible, in the top of my finger. hah ow. it hurts and is bleeding, but alas, my shoes turned out pretty well, and that's what matters. so thanks for the tutorial and all and i totally love my new shoes. Yours are pretty amazing. This is great because I have a pair of converse High Tops I don't wear anymore and I've been feeling guilty leaving them sitting in my closet. Plus, none of the flats I've tried on have seemed to fit right. I never would have thought of something like this. It's pretty creative.
