Cute shoes!  For the fraying you could try sewing some bias tape along the top to keep the fraying inside of it, and soften the edges.  You could either do it in the color of the shoe, or another color to give it a whole new feel.

Cute, I have some shoes just like that from DSW, I think American Eagle makes them.  I use them as slippers for the basement because they fall off of the back of my feet a bit :B

good to know. I'm a bit wary because they have this rubber part in the heel but hopefully I can yank that out. your shoes look grand btw, very cute. I like how they could be dressy-casual.
