Should I be cracking up or gasping in astonishment?

When I was about seven or eight, I convinced my brother to play Hairdresser. I got the round hair brush (you know, the one you use for bangs) stuck hopelessly into the hair at the back right of my head. There was no way either of us was going to be able to get it out.

My sister and I played "hairdressers" with our auntie (who's only 4 years older than me, but was babysitting us at the time) and we got a brush hopelessly tangled in her hair.  We managed to get it out eventually, but had to cut some of the hair - she wasn't amused!

My sister also cut her doll's hair off and then cried because it didn't grow back!  The same sister also screamed the place down when she was taken for her first haircut 'cos she was convinced it would bleed!

When one of my nieces was little, she took a red permanent marker and carefully colored in her whole face. Then happily went to my brother and said "Look, daddy,I'm a redhead!" My sister in law scrubbed and scrubed, but there was still a pinkish tinge. The school called her the next day, worried, because my niece looked flushed and feverish.

Thank goodness I never did this myself.
I did however have a cousin who cut herself bangs once D:
And she was about 12 too XD

But yes, scissors are best left out of sight of children. You never know what they'll do with them :/
Best to stick them with the plastic ones that won't cut anything XD

I sort of did that when I was little...My hair grows with these little wisps on the side, and they would drive me crazy, so I had the bright idea to chop them off...luckily Mom was quick thinking and whipped out the barrettes and covered the patch with my hair behind it...

I think my now fifteen year old cousin wins an award for doing the most stupid things with her hair for the longest amount of time. She used to have hair down to the middle of her back, and she'd been chopping it off herself randomly until by christmas she had the classic "emo" haircut: chin-length bangs and about two inches long in the back. Then, Christmas day at my grandmother's house, she goes into the kitchen, takes a butcher knife, goes into the bathroom and cuts all her hair off to a couple inches long. Guess what? She's decided she wants hair to her waist again now. Idiot *headdesk*

I dread to think what would have happened if the dozen or so small cousins running around at our family reunion this summer had found scissors....

A friend and I decided once that vaseline was just like the hair gel that Mommy used.  All I can remember after that is hours and hours of hair washing, lol.
