ok, I'm about an inch into the rib.  slowly yet surely since class and homework and such get in the way.

I'm using size 10 needles, cast on 150 for ribbing, and I'm doing regular stockette for the body of it.  I plan to then pick up stitches around the arm holes to hopefully do long sleeves, or at least do a a little ribbing for the sleeve.  I haven't decided if I want to do the arms in the round or not.

I hope it turns out well after all my messing around with it!

Hi all! I normally just lurk here, but I thought I'd post my results for anyone interested in seeing how this looks with sleeves -- I picked up stitches around the armholes and knit the sleeves downward in the round, decreasing to keep them fitted.  There's a little bit of gathering around the armpits, but it's really barely noticeable.  Also, I had exactly 3 balls of Cotton-Ease, and used all but a yard or two to end up at elbow-length as shown.

It turned out a bit tight because I was too lazy to swatch beforehand, but otherwise I'm really pleased.  Thanks to everyone working on the pattern -- the results all look great!

Wow - Ciaobella ~ WHat a terrific job! I am about halfway through with mine - I would love to do sleeves, but am intimidted by the picking up the stitches and not knowing how to dec. properly as I knit my way down the arm...Do you remember any sort of pattern as to how you did this? Also, you did it in mock rib for the arm part ?

What do you guys think of trying this sweater in a heavier yarn ( or 2 strands of worsted held tog. ) and bigger needles to have it go chunkier and quicker? I may experiment once i finish my original version, but i would love to do one on say a size 15 needle, with bukly yarn for the winter.....:-) I do love this project though - it is SUCH a great little pattern
