Just in case anyone else, like me, only finds this 5 years later and likes it so much they decide to try it - a hint when you need to double the number of stitches, knit with a double strand of wool and on the next round knit each strand separately as a separate stitch - and you have instant, easy double-up on the number of stitches. Another 2 inches or rib and mine is finished - took me 3 weeks to knit. Cheesy
