It's DONE!!! I based this on Keridiana's method, but knit in one piece. I used 2 skeins of Caron Simply Soft in Soft Blue on size 9 circulars.
Before seaming:
And after seaming. It's really circular...
don't mind the terrible camera angles...
and up close:
Yay! Another FO for my closet! Thanks guessica for starting this thread!

julsey723- yours looks great! It looks just like the UO one in the picture. Do you remember the dimensions tou used? I really want to make one of these.......I am sharing a table at a craft fair next weekend, and can't wait to get starting on something for me. I'll probably make it using simply soft too, b/c I am broke at the moment. (unless I sell lots at the craft fair and can slurge on something nicer *fingers crossed*) Great pin too!

Thanks ctgirl! Here's what I did I'm a 36" chest, so this is what worked for me. My gauge was about 5.5 st/in in mock rib, so I measured across the shoulders (like for the OSW pattern) and added 3-4 inches, then used that number for the back and sleeves. I doubled that # for the CO amount. I also wanted to begin and end the k2p2 rib rows on a k2 so that the seams fit together better.
CO 218 on size 9 needles.
work in k2p2 rib for 5 inches
k2tog, p2tog 1 row (109 st)
continue in mock rib pattern, which is: k1,p1 rib 1 row, next row: (p1, sl1 with yf) until end of row. Work mock rib for 20 inches
next row: m1k, k1, m1p, p1 until end of row (218 st)
work in k2p2 rib for 5 inches, BO all st.
I seamed the edges together as keridiana showed in her diagram, but continued an additional 4 inches into the mock rib pattern to create cap sleeves. I also "ironed the crap out of it" in the mock rib sections before seaming to flatten the st at the edges to make the arm holes lay flat. I think the UO folks forgot to do that, as their edges look really ragged.
Good luck!

WOW yours looks awesome julsey! funny, i was thinking of using the exact same yarn (except in the bright blue mint) and my chest is roughly 36 inches so that would be PERFECT!!! i'm so happy you posted your particulars!
but did i understand you ironed it??? doesn't your acrylic get limp when you iron? that always happens to me
