Catching the Undead Since 2011!

Here's my Ishbel, finished about mid-January as a little birthday present to myself!

Despite looks, the pattern was really easy AND a fast knit, too!  I cast on right around Christmas time and was binding off around January 17th.

if you're a beginning lace knitter, I actually think this is a terrific project to try!  The lace is symmetrical on both sides so there's an easy "middle" stitch to double check that you're in the right place AND it's a great way to learn mirror stitches.

The pattern is written for two sizes.  I opted to knit the smaller size.  Although I had read some reviews saying that the finished shawl was rather small, I think mine blocked out to a great size.  It's the perfect mid-weight cowl/shawl for chilly spring nights!

I used one skein of Malabrigo Sock with enough leftover to make a pair of baby socks.

Really, I can't say enough how much I absolutely loved knitting this.  I don't often knit things more than once, but I'd knit this again without hesitation.  Ysolda's patterns are always well written and are always very beautiful!

That is beautiful, and the color is especially lovely against your hair and skin tone!
