I made these because i was a 'lil bored with my plain old tunnels. I have my ears stretched to a size 0 [zero] and 0 sized plugs are 8mm, sooo I bought these beads [the label on  them said they were jade... hot pink jade?!?! oh well] and threaded some wire through them and inserted hot  pink beads through the wire, and I also incorporated the little fur ball that were from some old earrings my sis had lying around. Then I put them on only to find that they were to heavy in the front and made them fall out, so I added a chain to the back using those metal circles that are used to join jewelry together, whew what a long story... here's the pics

oh what fun!

when I saw your thanks, I knew why the pics took so long to load.

hi-res is a killer for those of us on dialup, especially when we're traveling in europe.  i almost didn't wait for them to load as I am paying by the hour.

I've been wanting to make myself some...I have 5/8" (I'm not sure how many mm?) and it gets pretty boring with these tunnels I would have to agree..I have some new earrings though, because I'm going bigger they are 3/4". I know it's huge, but I'm addicted..
Here are my beautiful ears..

oh i'm sorry I have dial up too, it sucks.
 thanks for the comments <3
Carleigh_who else:
my boy friend's are  5/8 and he made a pair for himself with wooden dowels, you know the ones used for crafting, he cut them to size, sanded them a little and then varnished them [I don't remember what kind of varnish he used] I don't think they need to be varnished I think a good sanding would do.
But you could go to the craft shop and chek out the bead section, you can take one of your own plugs for sizing if you're not sure, I didn't take an extra pair so people were giving me weird looks because of my lobe size  Tongue
glass beads look great.

those are hot! I have a few of the plastic-bought ones and i shove random things in mine like lego-man heads, golf tees and things i find on the ground ((with the amount of random shit i've put in my ears, you'd think it would be infected! The only time it got infected was when i put an 8-ball patterned plug in my ear that i had bought and had soaked in hospital grade disinfectnat for days! WEIRD))

I've never once thought of decorating them... good plan

don't yours shrink back down when you take out your plug? i work at a pretty schmick restaurant, and no one even suspects i'm slightly punky because i takemy plug out about four hours before i start work, after a shower, the hole look kinda normal and its still easy to slide the plub back in when i'm finished work.

That is fantastic!  All dangly and beautiful.
I've just recently gotten serious about stretching my normal-sized lobes; I'm planning on going to 4g/5mm.
