i know when you buy natural peanut butter you have to stir it becos the oils seperate.

do they seperate when you use them in baking or would using natural pb be the same as using regular pb?

i think it's fine to use natural pb for baking, assuming you stir it first.  the oil separates because it's not hydrogenated as it is in non-natural pb, but i've used it in muffins and they were great.

I've used natural peanut butter in baking many times and it works fine... i think it tastes better in baked good too  Smiley

I've used it a bunch too & never had a problem! Cashew butter is awesome too if your looking for a variation on same old peanut butter recipies!

i have another question - is there such a thing as natural pb chips? (like chochlate chips)

i havent found any & i assumed it was cos of the oil thing.

Tropical Source makes them.  I have some at home, I think, but haven't tried them yet.

They do conatin an emulsifier but the ingredients look pretty 'clean' to me.
