Hooray! I got an awesome package from jadey_mcshadey the other day. She sent me a corset/bustier with a mudflap girl embroidered on it (mmm... hot!!), hot pink nipple pasties (I think I will surprise my fiance with them later... heehee), mudflap girl soap (that smells so delicious I want to eat it!!) and a little notepad with a cowgirl pinup on the front.

Thanks so much jadey! I love everything! Grin

I was a swap angel for Sleepywalkin, and she finally received what I sent her.  Hooray!  She also asked me to post pictures.

A nice shot of the bag I knitted with the removable cowgirl pin-up patch attached.  This picture really captures the bag's true colors.  I wish I could take better pictures.

A close up of the patch.

Lastly, the lining of the bag, which is probably some of my favorite fabric.

I wish i had gotten a better picture of the lining.  I also sent her some pin-up marble magnets and bobby pins with some girls on them in a decorated Altoid tin.  I did not take any pictures of those items.

WOW, awesome bag!  Did you print out the patch yourself or find it somewhere?  I also love your lining fabric...would you mind telling me where you got it.  I've been on a retro cowgirl kick lately.  Roll Eyes

Thanks!  I've been on a bag knitting kick lately.  I printed the image on dark t-shirt transfer paper, ironed it on the blue fabric, then sewed it to another piece of the blue fabric.  I glued rhinestones to tie tacks to use to attach the image to the bag.  I got the lining fabric at reprodepot.com.  They have an awesome selection of fabric.

Thanks!  I got the image from a Gil Elvgren calendar.  It's not hard to do the iron ons at all.  I always iron the fabric before I iron on the image; and make sure you use the paper that you place between the iron and the iron on, otherwise it's a smelly mess.  I have only used the Avery dark t-shirt transfers, and I really like them.  I used one for the Betty Page bag I made for this swap.  It gave a great surface to embroider Betty's gloves on.  Since I have no idea where that picture is in this thread, I'll post it here as well.  I wish I had taken a more detailed picture of Betty.

the bag is absolutely amazing!  i'm am completely stunned.  and i love that the patch is removable - b/c it might be slightly inappropriate for work or a biz trip, etc.  Smiley  but when i'm out and about, i'm totally rockin' the cowgirl!
