(The eyes on the ghosts and skulls-yes, they're suppose to be skulls, my mother-in-law couldn't tell-are large seed beads.)

i need input. whats a reasonable price to sell the bags for?

 right now i'm using materials that were either given to me or that i've had (besides the felt which costs like $.20). so i can't add up the cost of materials and add labor or anything like that.

Pretend like you bought all the materials yourself... that's what I do. Then for time, I would take what you would make in an hour at a part time job or where you already work, then add a couple bucks so you're not selling yourself short, so right now I make $7.45/hr at work, so for sewing related things I charge $10/hr to do stuff, then just figure out how much time it takes you to complete one bag from start to finish... I'd say you're looking at somewhere around $15 per bag for a selling price!

Nobody needs to know that felt is that cheap or that other materials were free... You still need to make a profit so when the free stuff runs out, you've got more money to buy new stuff to keep going!

love the dinosaur!  im considering sewing some similar dinosaurs on to pillowcases - lucky i saw your post!  my questions is...do you wash felt first?  does it shrink/bleed?  i dont want the pillowcases (a gift for someone) to be all ruined after washing!   Huh

i haven't sewn them on anything but bags ever. most of the bags i've given away as presents, so i can't really answer your question. i would suggest makeing a test patch and see what it can withstand as far as washing and such.
