banana bread french toast is the road to enlightenment!

very simply, make french toast as usual using banana bread instead of plain bread. holy smokes. very excellent with warm raspberries, blueberries, or chocolate.

i bet other loaves would be really yummy too! lemon bread and chocolate zucchini bread come to mind.

i was converted to this dish many months ago by a restaurant brunch special that my entire table ordered unanimously, and my enthusiasm has recently been revived.

Good Lord!  Now how am I supposed to concentrate for the rest of the day whilst I dream about banana bread french toast?

 

How about a big blob of whipped cream on top?  I think that would do it.  With some bananas sauteed in sugar & cinnamon.   Drooooooool.
