No problem!  I think I'll leave it on Craftster Itself.  Another Moderator might come along and move it to Misc., but I think it's okay where it is currently.  I'll check in from time to time to see how the stats are compiling. Smiley

I've looked and looked and am unable to find my niche' on crafters.  I am a scroll saw artisan and specialize in all types of puzzles but do a variety of scrolling items.  Where do I fit in/  is there a wood working category I'm not seeing?

I'll try and find my way back to this post...LOL

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one puzzled by the missing woodworking section. I have to say I think our moderators are missing the ball on this one. To say that there just isn't enough interest seems a total cop-out, as a quick check of the "tags" page says otherwise. (And remember that most of us forget to tag our posts!) One of the best things about Craftster is that you can look at what other people are doing and get inspired to join in. If you embroider, spin wool, make purses or apply inkjet iron-ons to things, there's a home for you here. But if you work in wood, you have to wade through the home section, the misc. section, and several others in hopes of catching the wood projects that have been posted. (The same is true, incidentally, of leatherwork and metalwork.)

I realize there's a practical limit to the number of different communities that Craftster can contain before it becomes unwieldy, but there ought to be room for one or two more, and Woodworking should be at the top of the list. Or maybe to be completely fair, have a survey of Craftster members to see what new topics have the most interest.

And if member interest alone isn't enough, there's another benefit to adding woodworkers to Craftster: broader advertising base. Wink

I have to say, I am and always have been a tad shocked as to WHY there is not a woodworking and a leather crafting as these are the 2 ORIGINAL crafts. I hate to look and look where to post the things we have done and made for our home or friends neighbors or to sell as there is not a section but the "Miscellaneous Topics" and that just does not seem right to me. I feel there should be a section for each of these. There are enough wonderful crafters here who would be more then willing to head up and MOD these 2 board.

Wood burning would be very interesting to discuss, very versatile but vanishing art.

I'd just like to say that I find it very very strange that we have a carding board, with a whole of 22 topics, but not a woodworking board when the woodwork tag alone has almost 200 topics! Seems kind of unfair to me.
