I rarely use put my produce into the plastic bags at the grocery store or market, but when I do I always feel a pang of guilt. Since we moved to the woods, I don't even need plastic bags for picking up dog poop! And yet I have put off for a couple of years making replacements for my reusable produce bags. I even had all the materials in my stash!  Undecided

I made 6 bags, all pretty close to the same size which is pretty close to the size of the plastic ones at the store, but maybe a bit longer.

I have had the tulle and ribbon in my stash for over two decades for crying out loud!  Shocked  The two fabric tapes are remnants from other projects and the plastic closure hardware pieces were gleaned from worn out clothes and other items.

It's even more rare for me to use the wire ties or plastic closures at the store, because it's just more waste. I have all the used wire ties that I need right there in my junk drawer allready, but it is nice to be able to close the bag when there are lots of pieces of produce inside.

I used all of that tulle, all but a few inches of fabric tape, and all but one of the hardware pieces which feels good. Oh! I also used random nearly-gone spools of thread on these and finished one completely off.

Very cute!  I love the toggle closures!

I have used the mesh laundry bags from the dollar store.  These are so much nicer!

Those are great!  I had about 6 or 8 reusable produce bags that came from the Dollar Store nearly a decade ago, but most of them have been lost or destroyed by time.  You've inspired me to remake some!

Love the idea of using tulle for these.  I definitely need some of these, thanks for the inspiration.  (I suspect I also have all the supplies on hand somewhere!)

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).

I know my original inspiration came from pinterest and that used some kind of netting/tulle/otherwise sturdy, but see-thru material.
