Am I the only one who thinks this would be a good idea? There are so many great renaissance faire crafts that would be useful to a lot of people. Costumes, caps, favours, wreaths, all that. Does anyone have any ideas as to how we can push this further or more ideas for the board. Id really appreciate it. Grin

How about a Renaissance and Medieval Board?  I'd be game for that.

a Ren/Medieval board would be neat, there is so much more to it than the clothes.  I know there are all kinds of historical recreation groups and live action roleplay groups that need "stuff" clothing, camp gear and atmosphere goodies.

We recently did a terrific Medieval/Renaissance Swap that included costume-y stuff, accessories and non-reenactor stuff related to the time period.  The gallery is up in the Swap Gallery section.  I'm thinking about organizing a Round 2 next month, depending on how some other stuff works out, since organizing takes a fair amount of attention for a number of weeks.

Since we have a med/ren thread going here, anyone care to post relevant crafts they've made??  I suppose if we're even going to petition for a full board for ourselves, we ought to have some threads going to demonstrate that tehre's a need!

I would adore that.  however, I'm not sure it will have enough of a following to warrent a whole board.

maybe it would be good if it were more of a costuming/roleplay in general board.

maybe it could go under crafting for special occasions? As in a renaissance faire or something. Even tho I know its not always for that.

Good idea!
I've got a few things in the works for a festival next month--I'll put them up on one of the completed projects pages and add a link here.  Anyone else care to join the effort?

I think that's a good idea. Maybe "crafting for historical events" or something, so it doesn't have to be JUST for this era. Reinactments are done for the Victorian, Edwardian, etc., eras, too.
