eek i am in love... with the guitar and the fact that he is doing a rubiks cube!  can he conquer it? my friend taught me before.... anyways... yep i lkey a lot... tell him he rocks my world

My boyfriend can do the cube in less than a minute!!  It's freakin amazing.  He taught me, too, but it takes me closer to 5 minutes.  Mark, however, is UBER fast.  He's got a video out there somewhere, too. It's funneh Smiley  Him solving a cube to a metal song, wearing a "Talk nerdy to me" t-shirt.  *Swoon*  Cheesy

The guitar looks awesome.  Very 1960s, 'cept for the shape..

That's sooo awesome. I would try it, but I love my guitar far too much to risk hurting it. Did changing the shape change the sound at all?

PS-I want to have Pieter's babies.

That's just scary  Grin

the sound didn't change, but it didn't sound good to start with, so it should be alright if you want to try it yourself...

a friend of mine made a bass from nearly scratch. He didn't make the neck though because placing the frets is extremely difficult. I think it is interesting that he used spray paint. To get it painted and sealed like a guitar is this extremely elaborate sealing process that costs lots of $$$. My friend just left his natural wood-grain which actually looks very cool.
anyway, it looks great. Give your friend a pat on the back Smiley

Now the wintertime is coming,
The windows are filled with frost.
I went to tell everybody,
But I could not get across.
Well, I wanna be your lover, baby,
I don't wanna be your boss.
Don't say I never warned you
When your train gets lost.

very nice!  Guys come up with some of the neatest Ideas too sometimes! Grin  That guitar kind of remids me of the late 60's look.  Does he play it now or does he have it out for show?
My husband was cleaning his rifle and noticed a few problems with the finish, he took it apart and stripped the sealant or whatever was on it and brought it down to bare wood.  He then fixed the bad parts, and put tongue oil on it.  Loved the look so much, he did the entire wood that way, put the rifle pack together and has a "blond" rifle!
