Hi!

I have recently become interested in stained glass. I have taken one intro class to stained glass, so I have some basic idea of how to do it.

But I have come to realize that I do not enjoy working on large scale items and I am looking into doing some stained glasses jewelry(concentrating on pendants and then continuing on to other types).

I was wondering if anyone out there would be willing to let me pick their brain and answer some questions I have. Questions like what the best type of solder to use (which I am assuming is lead-free solder) or what the best type of soldering iron would be best.

So if there are any stained glass workers out there that wouldn't mind a beginner asking them some questions, please let me know.

Thanks!!

I've come to the same conclusion myself recently and have done some lovely small pendants made out of scrap glass. I'm also particularly into microscope slides at the moment - I've been cutting them up and sandwiching bits of old maps between them. I use lead-free solder and a standard stained glass soldering iron. If you've got any questions ask away and I'll do my best to answer them.  Smiley
