I used Patons Classic Wool in Leaf Green.
Here is how i did it:
My gauge was smaller than the pattern was written for.
5 stitches = 1" and 6 rows = 1" So when I cast on I added 8 stitches.
I then knit as the pattern directed until it was the size I wanted. Of course I ended up with more stitches on my needle the the pattern said i would have at my size. I had 54 stitches on each sleeve piece and didn't count what I had for the back piece.
-place 54 sleeve stitches on circular needle and place marker
-knit row and at same time increase 1 stitch before and after marker=56 sts
-join work and knit 3 more rows
-knit row and increase 1 stitch before and after marker-58 sts
-row 28 decrease 1 stitch before and after marker-56 sts
continue decreases on theses rows:
row 34=54 sts
row 40=52 sts
row 46=50 sts
row 52=48 sts
row 58=46 sts
row 64=44 sts
row 70=42 sts
row 76=40 sts
-continue working on 40 stitches for rows 77-120
-rib in knit1 purl 1 for next 10 rows
-row 131 cast off
I have never written pattern instructions before so if anything is unclear- just ask!
